With 15+ years’ primary teaching experience, I use a warm, patient and personalised approach to help every child succeed. I begin by identifying their strengths, gaps and individual learning needs, then tailor sessions accordingly. Drawing on Rosenshine’s principles, cognitive science and my experience as a Year 6 teacher and literacy leader, I use clear modelling, questioning, guided practice and retrieval to build understanding. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps and gradually develop independence. I also place great importance on building confidence, making learning engaging and celebrating progress.
