Advert description
I am a proactive, reliable and trustworthy individual, who works well using my own initiative, as well as within the realms of a team or department. I am currently in the process of working towards my ECT qualification. My teaching experience to date has been varied, encompassing online tuition on a one-to-one basis, as well as in small groups. I have an excellent understanding of pupils with a variety of physical and learning needs, including pupils with SEND as well as pupils who require support to self-regulate and manage powerful emotions.
I've employed a variety of teaching approaches to provide my pupils with the finest learning experience possible, such as Bloom's Taxonomy and curating learning objectives against his pyramid of abilities.
Using them when teaching English has enabled me to develop highly honed lessons that Include vital skills and knowledge for my students to take away and practise.
While studying and learning English, I tried to put it to use when tutoring in my early years at university; teaching has always been a passion of mine, and through training this year, my passion and love for the subject has grown even more.
Another component that I have been incorporating into my English courses is various forms of assessment for learning, whether formative or summative, with the goal of consistently checking for knowledge so that I am aware that my students leave each lesson with a known competence. I put this into practise on a daily basis by catering to their comprehension and taking away a learning outcome.
