I am a qualified secondary Science teacher specialising in Biology, with more than three years of online tutoring experience and over 500 lessons delivered to KS3, GCSE, A-Level and IB students. I have supported learners with a range of abilities and needs, including SEN pupils, helping them improve confidence, subject knowledge and exam performance. I begin by identifying each pupils strengths and gaps through questioning and short activities. I then tailor sessions using clear explanations, visual resources, retrieval practice, exam-style questions and personalised revision strategies. I believe that Science is a subject in which applying knowledge to relatable, real-world contexts is essential for making learning meaningful and memorable. I use examples from everyday life, health, sport and the environment to help students understand abstract concepts, develop curiosity and see the relevance beyond the classroom.
