English Reading Lessons for Children

It has been proven that one of the best ways to increase vocabulary, understanding and fluency is reading.

Children need to read for pleasure at an early age in order to develop a habit and a love for reading.

When reading, children learn about words, sentence structures and the way in which a language can be used to craft and shape meaning.

Reading alone can seem like a chore for some children, but reading together can ignite an interest in children that blossoms into a love that lasts for a lifetime.

Reading is a real gift.

My lessons offer a chance for children to read together, to engage in exploration of language and to discover a love for reading.

I can recommend books and am also happy to read books that children are keen to discover.

Tasks will be based around vocabulary and comprehension.

These lessons are suitable for children with English as a second lanaguage as long as they can communicate with a fair level of English.
