Advert description
I start by getting to know each student, including what they find difficult, what they already understand and what they want to achieve, whether that is a better grade, exam confidence or a stronger foundation. From there I plan lessons around those goals rather than following a fixed script. I explain new topics step by step, using worked examples first and then letting the student try similar questions themselves, so they build real understanding instead of memorising answers. I use exam-style questions and past papers to practise technique and timing, and I check understanding regularly by asking the student to explain ideas back to me. I stay patient, encourage questions and give clear feedback after every lesson, adjusting my approach as the student progresses.
