I have coming up to over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and neurodiverse needs. I have experience working within academic settings and understand the different challenges that can be faced. I understand that every individual learns differently, so I take my time to understand their needs, strengths, interests and preferred learning style. My approaches are personalised and learner-centred, adapting my methods according to the individual. I support students with organisation, time management, revision strategies, concentration and building confidence rather than simply providing answers. My experience has taught me the importance of creating a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where learners feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is to support each student to recognise their abilities, overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic potential.
