Cambridge-graduated full-time qualified Bio/Chem/Phy teacher (GCSE/A-Level) at an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school

Hello, my name is Charlotte, with a specialism in teaching Science up to A-level at an Ofsted-rated Outstanding school in London. I have been a full-time teacher for over 8 years, primarily guiding students in exam year groups for GCSE, iGCSE and A-level. My private tutee achieved A* grades in Biology (92%), Chemistry (94%), and Physics (92%) in the most recent May/June 2025 exams.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cambridge, and a First-class BSc degree in Biomedical Science with the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship, High Achievers Scholarship, Higher Education Advantage Award, and Best Year 1 Student Performance in Biomedical Sciences. I was consistently in the top 1% in academic achievement during my BSc Biomedical Sc, and I achieved 94% A* and 92% A* in my A-level Biology and Chemistry, respectively.

Teaching approach: Comprehensive, exam-oriented notes will be provided every topic to facilitate students in a highly targeted revision to ace the final GCSE exam. Each week, I will design exam-focused worksheets/quizzes to target students' areas of weakness and strengthen their exam techniques and critical thinking skills to build their confidence in achieving the success criteria for grades 8-9. Most importantly, I am cheerful, patient and attentive to each student’s learning style, always tailoring my teaching to their individual needs to make every tutoring session very ENJOYABLE and impactful to prove that quality tutoring is more than academic-focused, as it should also motivate and inspire students to push beyond their limits! My students often describe me as 'warm, kind, and fun'. My student once said that I have a superpower of 'making tricky concepts simple, relatable and fun'!
