Advert description
When I meet a new student, my first goal is to make them feel confident that they can understand the subject — that Physics, Chemistry, and Maths aren’t just formulas, but stories about how the universe works.
I usually start by asking a few simple questions to understand how they think and what areas they find hardest. Then I explain that my job isn’t just to teach them content — it’s to teach them how to think like a scientist, to approach any problem logically and calmly.
I tell them that I’ve helped many students go from struggling with Physics to achieving A*s — and that we’ll do the same together, step by step. I use humour, visual examples, and even absurd analogies to make ideas stick. For example, when explaining electromagnetism, I might compare a moving electron to a tiny superhero creating invisible whirlwinds of magnetism — it makes learning vivid and fun.
Most importantly, I show them that I’m on their side — I celebrate small wins, encourage curiosity, and make every lesson feel like progress. My aim is for every student to leave our sessions feeling smarter, more confident, and genuinely excited about science.
