Advert description
My approach starts with finding out what you actually need. In a first session, I will ask what you are studying, what your assessments look like, and where you currently feel stuck — students rarely struggle with everything, and tutoring works best when it is targeted at the two or three points that are slowing you down. From there, I build sessions around three things: (1) understanding the law itself, working from statute and authority rather than textbook summaries, so you can answer questions you have not seen before; (2) exam technique — problem-question structure (IRAC and ILAC), essay planning, case briefing, and the differences in what examiners reward at A-Level, LLB, GDL, and SQE level; and (3) confidence under pressure, especially for students preparing for end-of-year exams or resits. I give honest feedback, mark practice answers between sessions where requested, and adapt my materials to your course rather than running a generic syllabus. I am patient with students who are anxious or have struggled before, and I am happy to teach intensively in the weeks before assessments or at a steady weekly pace across the year.
