Art History made fun through art making

I have been teaching architectural history (Renaissance, Modern, Post-modern Era) and ancient history (Greek, Roman, Egypt and Indian Civilisations) since 2015 to students from secondary school as well as in universities.

My history lessons will include a lot of stories about the important events that we must remember while learning history. Along with this, there will be tables, diagrams and mind-maps that will cluster together ideas so that they become easy to visualise and remember. Previously, as an architectural history professor, I have also taught students how to make physical or digital models of the building to understand them better. We will make mini museums as part of our education, we will use journals and write micro-graphic novels.

The most unique aspect of how we will learn history together will be to pull it out of textbooks and make it our own through drawings, stories, objects and presentations.
