Ambitious and adaptable Mechanical Engineer with an extensive background in mathematics, aiming my lessons at high school students

I am a graduate with a strong academic background in mathematics, having studied Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A-Level and completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also have previous experience working as a mathematics tutor, supporting students in developing both their subject knowledge and confidence. I understand first-hand the importance of a positive student–teacher rapport in enabling effective learning. Being close in age to my students allows me to build strong, approachable relationships, helping them feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident during sessions rather than intimidated by the subject. My teaching approach is tailored to each individual student. I begin by identifying the key topics they find most challenging and focus lessons around strengthening these areas. I reinforce learning through regular recap starters at the beginning of each session to consolidate understanding and ensure knowledge is retained over time. My aim is to make mathematics engaging, accessible, and manageable for every student I work with.
