Advert description
I am a Philosophy and Economics student currently studying at UCL who achieved 44/45 for the IB Diploma in 2024 from Melbourne, Australia. With a passion for both STEM and humanities subjects, I aim to provide private, online lessons for students who are completing their IB Diploma and require additional help with Economics HL, English Literature SL, Mathematics AA HL, Theatre SL, Chinese B HL, TOK or EE. As someone who learnt English as an additional language but now employing it at a native level, I am also eager to help students who are looking for supplementary support with learning the language. Not only personalising the sessions to individual’s learning style, I also strive to foster a healthy mindset for my tutees and provide emotional support in times of need.
Upon graduation in 2024 November, I have been tutoring Year 1 and 2 IB students, alongside prosperous IB students in preparation for the Diploma, particularly in the subject areas of English Literature, Economics, TOK, EE and Theatre. I plan my sessions centred around my students’ need. Being someone who is highly attentive-to-detail and responsible, I am flexible and responsive to students in the process of drafting their IAs. In the prospect of preparing for the IBDP exams, I have a structured approach to exam questions and revision notetaking, and aim to customise those approaches to students’ personal style. For those aiming to achieve additional help on learning English as a language or as a school subject, I apply the similar work ethics and teaching morale: identifying individual need and providing a catered solution with patience and warmth.
