Hi, I’m Sonia! English language & Literature Specialist, AQA Associate Examiner and SATS, 11+ and GCSE & A Level Expert.

I am an English language and literature teacher with 30 years of classroom teaching experience and over 25 years of private tutoring experience. I can provide support with reading comprehension, creative writing, essay writing, exam techniques and confidence building. I believe that successful learning begins with a positive relationship between tutor and student. Every learner is unique, so I tailor my lessons to meet individual needs, learning styles and goals. Whether a student requires support to build confidence, improve academic performance, or prepare for important examinations, I create engaging and structured lessons that encourage progress and independence. I have extensive experience teaching online and have worked with students both in the UK and internationally, including learners in Singapore and Dubai. I am confident using Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom to deliver interactive and effective online lessons. Parents and students often describe me as patient, encouraging, approachable and dedicated.
