Eva has been tutoring my son and daughter for over 8 years now and has been a tutor long before this also. She is professional, calm and friendly with all her students and helps them through any difficulties they are having, in such a way, that they overcome challenges and progress quickly. Eva helped continue to educate my children during the pandemic, at a time when their school was ill-equipped for such an event. Eva was my daughter's tutor for her 11+ exams in the UK. She coached her for a year and was helpful in guiding her, giving her good stream of work / guidance to help shape her preparation. Eva at the outset was very honest in her assessment to give us parents a clear view of our daughter's ability and then set out to plan her lessons. She gives clear instructions about what books to buy & helps maintain a weekly homework log. She works best with the parents & the child in guiding & improving difficult areas through the time. Post the exams she was also very helpful in guiding us on the admission process, even putting us in touch with other parents who have been through the process. Overall I would highly recommend Eva. PS: She does tutoring for secondary schools also hence you can ask her for which subjects she covers also on that front. rgds Narain.

I’ve been using Eva Thompson as a tutor since 2020. We started with her to prepare my son for his 11 plus, and he passed with flying colours, ending up with a choice of grammar schools. That result was down to Eva’s support and dedication. She knows the 11 plus system inside out, but what really sets her apart is that she genuinely cares about her students. Eva is patient, calm and always well-prepared. She explains things clearly and makes lessons enjoyable, which is no small thing at that age. My son looked forward to his sessions with her and grew in confidence throughout. He enjoyed her teaching style so much that we’ve kept going with weekly maths lessons ever since, and he’s now in top set.
