I’m not a native speaker, but I can teach English as a foreign language to children and young adults

As a teacher, you need to first of all, assess and pre-evaluate your students’s level of knowledge as it enables the teacher to teach from what the students know already to what they are yet to know. As a teacher, you also need to arouse your students’s interest and get them ready to learn. This act is called set-induction and it’s done before the topic of the day is introduced as it helps them to understand the central idea of the topic when introduced. You also need to bring in different teaching methods including demonstration and use of examples and instructional materials to aid understanding of the topic.
