Hi, I'm Mike, and I'm a private tutor in English Literature to any level from GCSE upwards. All lessons online.

English Literature requires passion and appreciation before application to the syllabus. I want to engage my students first and then we can work out together how best to approach the texts in question. The sessions will be remote. The first lesson will be more of a discussion, to find out any difficulties or obstacles the student is facing. Then we will enter into close textual analysis, concentrating on character, theme and language. The student may be encouraged to read around set texts, to gain a better understanding of the author or genre. Lessons will be friendly and interactive and will constantly evolve according to the student's needs.
