Hi, I’m Mei! 👋 Your friendly Mandarin teacher I’m a native Mandarin speaker living in the UK, and I’ve been teaching Chinese for 6 years. I hold the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (CTCSOL) and degrees in education, and my Mandarin pronunciation is standard, so you’ll learn to speak clearly and accurately from the very first lesson. I’ve taught students of all ages, levels and backgrounds, from children to working professionals, and from complete beginners to advanced learners. How I work I believe interest is the best teacher. Before we begin, I’ll get to know your hobbies and goals, then design our lessons around them. Love cooking, football or travel? Need Chinese for work or HSK? We’ll learn through what matters to you. I use games and interactive activities in our online lessons to help you practise, so new words and tones stick without feeling like hard work.
