I believe I would make an excellent Maths tutor because of both my academic success and my passion for helping others succeed. Having achieved an A* in Maths, I have a strong grasp of the subject and a deep understanding of the concepts students often find challenging. More importantly, I’ve previously tutored students at various levels and have developed a clear, patient, and adaptable teaching style that helps students build both competence and confidence.

What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex problems into simple, manageable steps. I always aim to explain concepts in different ways depending on the student’s learning style (whether that means using real-world examples, visual aids, or step-by-step walkthroughs). I’m also comfortable working with students of different abilities, from those needing support to those aiming for top grades. I understand that Maths can be intimidating for many students, so I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes (as I was pretty recently a student, I can resonate well with my students).

Having gone through the exam process myself, I also teach exam technique, time management, and how to approach different types of questions to maximise marks. I take pride in seeing my students improve and enjoy the moment when a concept finally “clicks” for them.

Overall, I’m committed, enthusiastic, and results-driven. I believe every student can achieve great things with the right guidance, and I’m confident in my ability to help them reach their full potential in Maths.
