I am an A-level mathematics student wanting to tutor the subject at KS2-3 level.

believe I would be an effective tutor as i can explain complex ideas and concepts in clear, understandable steps in mathematics. I would focus on building a strong foundation by breaking problems into smaller stages and using worked examples to show each step; also explaining different methods so they can find the approach that makes the most sense to them. Although i have little experience in tutoring, my volunteering at a local youth centre has enabled me to support children in a part of their learning, and as a Scouts Young Leader I have developed strong communication and leadership skills. I have also recently taken on voluntarily maths mentoring for Year 7-9 which further strengthens by ability to tutor the subject. If a student is struggling, I remain patient and encouraging, adapting my explanations, asking guiding questions, and celebrating small successes to build their confidence and motivation.
