A-Level or GCSE English, History, French or German tutor

Hi! I'm Allie, a recent Yale University graduate. I will be starting a Master's in Creative Writing at Cambridge University in the autumn, and in the meantime, I am very interested in working with students doing the GCSEs/A Levels to help them achieve their academic goals.

At Yale, I studied English Literature with a minor in French, graduating magna cum laude (top 15% of my class). During my time at Yale, I was fortunate to receive several academic awards, including prizes for the top English student and best English paper in both my junior and senior years. I was also selected as one of a small group of undergraduate writing tutors, helping fellow students develop their essays and creative writing.

Before university, I achieved eleven Grade 9s at GCSE and four A*s at A Level in English, History, French and German. I was also accepted to Oxford to study English and German, so I am happy to help students go through that challenging admissions process if they require it.

I am looking for opportunities to work with students and tutor them in a range of subjects: 11+ all subject areas; GCSE English Language, English Literature, French, German, Latin, History; A-Level English, History, French, or German; Oxbridge English and German entrance examinations; and Oxbridge English interview prep.

I ensure my teaching is guided by the exam specification so you know exactly what the mark scheme entails, what examiners are looking for, and how to approach exams with confidence. I can't wait to meet you!
