Advert description
With three years of experience teaching English at Berlitz International, I have developed a strong understanding of structured, communicative language teaching. I have experience following the Berlitz teaching methodology, which focuses heavily on practical communication and helping students use English naturally in real-life situations.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive and adaptable. I believe lessons should be adjusted to suit each student’s individual English level, learning style, needs and goals. While I have a strong foundation in the Berlitz technique, I am also very flexible and can adapt my teaching methods depending on what works best for each learner.
I aim to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel confident speaking English, asking questions and making mistakes. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so I encourage students to communicate without being afraid of getting everything perfect.
During my lessons, I focus on active participation rather than simply explaining English. Students have opportunities to speak, practice new vocabulary and grammar, answer questions, express their opinions and use English in realistic situations. I also use role-plays, conversations, discussions and practical examples when appropriate.
I tailor lessons according to the student’s goals. For example, a student learning English for business may need to practice meetings, presentations, emails or workplace conversations, while another student may want to focus more on everyday communication, pronunciation or building confidence.
I also provide constructive feedback throughout the lesson and identify areas where the student can improve. My goal is not only to teach English, but to help students become more independent, confident and effective communicators.
Overall, I combine the structured approach and communicative principles I gained through my experience at Berlitz with my own adaptable and personalized teaching style. I want every student to feel that their lessons are relevant to their goals, enjoyable to participate in and useful in their everyday or professional life.
