English language although seems like a common language, it is not as easy in the academic field

I have lived most of my life in Nigeria, Africa where English is taught as a language and while it has taken some years for me to understand and master the art of spoken and written English, living in the UK shook that idea. English is the major language in the UK, it is oftentimes not spoken properly with the correct tenses and I would love to help others understand this.
