- A PhD in Cognition and Culture, an MA in Sociology, and a BA in Social Sciences, providing me with broad interdisciplinary knowledge of sociology and anthropology - University-level teaching experience at Queen’s University Belfast and Durham University, holding an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) My key skills include explaining complex theories and concepts clearly, facilitating discussion, encouraging critical thinking, and supporting students with academic writing, essay development, research methods, and the application of social science theories. My experience as a researcher and published academic has also developed strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. I am comfortable adapting my teaching approach to individual students’ needs and levels of understanding and creating a supportive learning environment in which students feel confident asking questions and developing their own ideas.
