Advert description
Hi! I'm Will, a Philosophy graduate with an infectious enthusiasm for the subject. I achieved the highest marks for Philosophy class of '23 at Lancaster University, receiving 100% for my dissertation and for two other modules.
Though philosophy can at times be dry or overwhelming (or overwhelmingly dry), it often expresses a simple and exciting vision. William James wrote: "Place yourself at the centre of a man's philosophic vision and you understand at once all the different things it makes him write or say". That's why my core aim is to help you to become animated by the vision that animates the ideas. After that, the reading is exciting and stimulating and the results follow. I see this as the philosophical equiavalent of teaching someone to fish, over giving them a fish.
I teach all A-level philosophy topics and many at undergraduate level, though I specialise in History of Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, and Philosophy of Mind. I can also help with study skills and academic writing.
