I teach English Literature with a strong focus on close reading, essay technique and building confidence with interpretation. My aim is to help students move beyond summary and develop clear, thoughtful analysis of texts, themes, language and context. Lessons are adapted to the student’s needs, whether that means support with GCSE or A-level set texts, help planning and structuring essays, revision for exams, or improving academic writing more generally. I work in a clear, patient and methodical way, breaking complex ideas down into manageable steps and helping students produce stronger, more precise written work.
