Friendly Primary Tutor | Reading & Phonics & Maths

Hi I’m a Primary Education student with experience supporting children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 as a Teaching Assistant. I’m passionate about helping children enjoy learning, build confidence and reach their full potential in a calm, supportive environment.

I specialise in supporting Reception to Year 2 pupils with phonics, early reading, English and maths. Whether your child needs extra support, wants to build confidence or simply benefits from additional practice, I tailor every lesson to their individual needs and learning style.

My lessons are engaging, encouraging and personalised. I use a variety of activities, games and practical resources to make learning enjoyable while helping children develop the key skills they need both in school and at home.

I have experience working with children in both one-to-one and small group settings, including those who need extra support with classwork or confidence. My aim is to create a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their progress.

A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity, focused teaching, interactive practice and a recap to reinforce learning. I also provide parents with a brief update after each session so you know exactly what your child has worked on and how they’re progressing.
