Advert description
br/>In my drum lessons, we’ll build a strong understanding of rhythm, timing, technique, and musicality before applying everything practically around the kit. The aim is to help you become more comfortable, coordinated, and expressive as a drummer while developing independence, dexterity, groove, confidence, and overall control around the instrument.
You’ll learn grooves, fills, transitions, dynamics, and how to properly accompany songs across different styles and genres. We can also explore improvisation, ear training, technique development, songwriting, performance preparation, and graded exams depending on your goals.
I’m a big advocate for building proper musical understanding rather than focusing only on exam certifications. Grades can absolutely be useful, and I’m happy to prepare students for them, but they’re never the sole priority in my lessons. You won’t spend an entire year learning the same three exam songs without understanding why you’re playing them. I want students to actually understand rhythm, feel comfortable around the kit, and develop skills that translate into real musical situations.
Most importantly, this is a space where I want to open as many musical doors as possible for you. If there’s a drummer, band, genre, or song that inspires you, we’ll absolutely bring that into the learning process and use it as a way to keep lessons engaging, motivating, and genuinely enjoyable.
