Advert description
Currently in my final year of a Joint Honours Mathematics degree, and having previously achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A-level, I’m on track to begin teacher training next year. With this goal in mind, I’ve spent the last few years gaining as much classroom experience as possible alongside my university studies.
I’ve worked with students in both Leeds and Manchester, supporting small groups of GCSE and A-level classes in schools. These experiences have helped me develop a practical understanding of various teaching approaches and how to adapt explanations to suit each student’s way of thinking. I’ve also benefited from multiple conversations with my dad, who’s a maths teacher with over 20 years of experience, during which we’ve often discussed common student errors and how to fix them!
Whether you’re struggling with certain topics and need that little nudge, or alternatively plan on working through a range of topics while I identify what needs the most attention, let me know and we can work on a plan to ensure you get the most out of these sessions. I will always note the exam board, as content differs slightly between each one, and I’ll make sure we focus on what’s relevant to your course.
You might be aiming to move from a 4 to a 5, or push a 7 up to an 8 or 9 - either way, I’ll help you build the skills and belief in your abilities needed to reach your goal.
