I am an experienced and highly reliable Economics teacher with a BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance and PGCE and 30 years' experience teaching A-Level Economics, including 20 years at the Ofsted Outstanding Ilkley Grammar School, across the OCR, Edexcel and AQA exam boards. I have a proven track record of helping students improve their understanding, confidence and exam performance in one to one tuition seasions

My approach is patient, supportive and student-centred. I take time to understand each student's individual strengths and areas of difficulty, then explain challenging economic concepts clearly and simply, with a strong emphasis on exam technique, practice and preparation.

I also enjoy bringing Economics to life using current events and real-world examples. My aim is not simply to help students achieve better grades, but to help them discover that a subject they may initially find difficult can become interesting, enjoyable and rewarding
