PhD candidate teaching biology to students of all ages who wish to better their biology knowledge in a focused yet fun way!

I have a 1st class bachelor of science (BSc) degree in Environment, Economics and Ecology from the University of York, and I am currently completing my PhD project at Lancaster University focused on how chemicals might be effecting the biology of our environment.
My background largely revolves around marine biology, with my current work assessing how chemicals affect marine organisms at a molecular level. This includes analysing the effect chemicals have on cell biology, then what response can be seen in this (e.g. rate of photosynthesis, sexual reproduction, DNA replication etc.).
Experienced I gained in the Philippines teaching others has given me the passion and determination to help others to maximise their potential and learn to the best of their ability. It is my belief everyone has the capability to succeed once they have access to an effective learning method which is appropriate and favoured by them. After an initial meeting, I hope to establish an effective learning method(s) with my student so that going forward I can teach and he/she can learn and retain information at a faster rate than before.
