Advert description
I have a Master's degree in Applied Psychology. I would like to share the joy of learning both the general psychological theories & principles as well as the more specific ones found in Psychology's various branches. I have previously taught undergraduates for a couple of months as part of my PhD course curriculum. I have the experience of teaching Social Psychology and the Science of Wellbeing. My PhD topic combines the areas of Health Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Psychodynamics. My MA dissertation was on "Patterns of Grief Among Hindus" - a qualitative study that explored grief reactions in the context of a particular culture. With this training in research methods, I hope that I will also be able to teach the course of research methodology. When it comes to my temperament and personality, I think it suits to the academic profession. I have received encouraging feedback from my students and mentors. I make my classes interactive and I try to engage each and every student in the class. I try to link the lessons with real-life examples. My emphasis is also on the research behind the established facts. Overall, I make sure that a particular topic is comprehended fully before taking on the next topic. My basic mantra is "depth before distance" such that I'm never in too much hurry to cover the syllabus.
