GCSE Specialist: Vastly Experienced Science Tutor

I’m a vastly experienced tutor with over 7 years experience, specializing in the core subjects (Science & English) for the GCSE years. I’ve gathered a strong reputation for helping an eclectic mix of students across both state and public schools, online and in person, individually and in small groups. I’ve worked with high-achievers, aiding them to secure grades 7-9, through to those who are more academically challenged (including some with SEN or mental health needs). With my guidance, no child has failed an exam and most of them have experienced significant boosts in their grades (the average being an enhancement of 2-3 grades within one academic year). I’ve also home-schooled students in the last two years taking full responsibility for course content, coursework, exam evidence and student grading. I offer a different method to a traditional 'school experience’ and one that has garnered excellent results; I’m passionate and dedicated to nurturing the innate abilities of all students and find the solutions which best enable them to learn and grow as individuals.

TRIPLE or DOUBLE SCIENCE: (AQA/EdExcel)
My role is often to take seemingly complex or difficult subject matter and break it down into digestible bite-size chunks. With limited time per session, I have to extract the information from an entire module or two (which will often be learnt over several weeks in school) and transpose this knowledge effectively within an hour. I’ve found that by applying structures and simplifying content, one can significantly improve students’ understanding and performance.
