While Maths can be tricky at times, I believe that concepts can be explained in many ways making teaching individually oriented.

At secondary school I studied Maths up to SQA Higher level (where I achieved an A Grade) and I subsequently helped out in a S3 Maths class. When I was helping in the class, if someone was struggling, I would break down or re-frame the concept in a way which allowed the student to understand it more easily. It's through teaching like this that I find students grasp the topics most quickly, and once I got to know the students and how they best learnt, it was easy to provide help and insight geared towards each specific individual.
