Greetings,
I am Gnanapriya from Chennai, India. I am a BA LLB (Hons. Corporate Law) graduate. I completed my bachelors in Sushant University, Gurgaon, Haryana in 2021. I have been a private tutor (online, offline, one-on-one and in group classrooms) for over five years now and out of that passion I am determined to pursue an active full-time career in teaching. I have a 7.5 band score in IELTS. I have been teaching Law, English (all curriculum- academics and spoken), French grammar for children aging from 5 to 16 for all boards (Government Board, IGCSE, ISCE, British, CBSE). My students belonged to various school boards and nationalities (Indians and Japanese who lived in India). I have worked as an HR for a company giving interview training, thus proving my leadership and managerial skills as well. I am highly passionate about teaching and am willing to switch careers from the law background of my degree. However, I have acquired immense English knowledge from my course. I have excellent expertise and experience in the field of Law as well as English. I am currently pursuing a diploma and a few courses online (TEFL & DIPLOMA IN ENGLISH TEACHING) and will soon be fully qualified to be a full time teacher. It has become my dream to teach English.

Gnanapriya - in a nutshell

I have been teaching English as a first & second language for over five years, and I have developed a range of teaching skills and methods that have proven effective for my students. I believe that a successful English language programme should be tailored to the individual needs of the student. For this reason, I use a variety of teaching methods and activities to ensure that my students are engaged and motivated. I use individual, small group and whole class teaching, depending on the needs and abilities of my students. I also use a combination of visual, audio and tactile activities to maintain the interest of my students.
One of the skills I bring to the classroom is the ability to create a positive learning environment. I use humour, visual and audio materials, and a variety of activities to ensure that my students are comfortable and engaged. I also use cooperative learning activities to encourage students to work together and help each other.
In addition to my teaching methods, I also use various assessment tools to track the progress of my students. I use formative and summative assessments to keep an accurate record of student progress. I also provide regular feedback to my students and discuss their progress with them.
Finally, I also use a variety of resources to supplement my teaching.
