Mathematics tuition offered by PhD Qualified Tutor - All levels, all abilities, all areas of mathematics up to A-Level and beyond

I have a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Leeds, a MSc in Mathematical Biology from the University of Dundee and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Manchester.

I have worked as a research mathematician and also worked in IT for over 30 years seeing many applications of mathematics in industry (insurance, banking, trading, programming etc.)

I am based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire and am happy to provide tuition either face to face or remotely (Zoom, GoogleMeet, Teams etc.).

I help with students' understanding of the course material with examples, and/or assist with problem solving techniques. I am happy to cover all areas of mathematics at all levels including mechanics, numerical solutions and all other areas of pure/applied/stats.

I have the breadth of experience to understand the 'why ?' that many students ask when studying mathematics. I am patient and have an ability to encourage and challenge students of all ages.
