Advert description
I want my lessons to feel relaxed and more like working through things together than being talked at. Everyone learns differently, so I’d start by finding out which topics you feel confident with and, most importantly, which ones you find difficult. We can then focus on the areas you struggle with most, working through them at your own pace until they start to make more sense.
If something doesn’t click straight away, that’s absolutely fine. I’m patient and happy to explain things in different ways, go back over the basics or work through examples together. I also think practising exam questions is really useful, as it helps you get used to how questions are worded and understand what examiners are looking for.
I studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at university and now carry out biomedical research, so I love Biology and enjoy finding ways to make it easier to understand. I can also bring in real examples from science and medicine to show the connection between classroom theory and practice.
Ultimately, I want our sessions to focus on the topics you find most challenging, helping you understand them properly, build your confidence and feel more prepared for your exams. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and leave each lesson feeling like you’ve made progress.
