ESOL/EFL teacher of adults wishing to learn English as a foreign language.

I am an ESOL teacher of adults, primarily with experience in tutoring beginner and intermediate speakers. I have a year's experience and am doing my CELTA qualification in January, with a view to teaching abroad in the near-ish future. Learning anything as an adult can be daunting, especialy learning a language. Hence I specialise in putting students at ease in lessons where they can learn at their own pace and, should the student request, focus on subject-specific language for specific purposes (areas of work, talking about certain interests, meeting new people, etc.) Having taught people from all ove the world, I am sensitive to different cultural, religious and social issues and am able to adapt my lessons to suit the individual learner (or learners for classes). As well as ESOL teaching, my academic background is in English Literature and Creative Writing so am also available to help natural English speakers with job applications, CV-writing, parsing large amounts of information, or any other language-related issues you may be having.
