Advert description
Hi! I’m a passionate and approachable English tutor with a unique perspective on learning. As someone who is neurodivergent, I understand how challenging traditional classroom environments can be — I used to struggle at school myself. I was once working at a U in English, but once I found learning methods that actually worked for me, everything changed. I went on to achieve a Grade 8 and now I love helping others succeed in English too.
My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I believe that no one learns the same way — so I focus on breaking down complex ideas into manageable, engaging chunks. Whether it’s analysing poems, understanding texts, or planning essays, I make sure students not only grasp the content, but also build real confidence in their abilities.
I have a strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum and exam board expectations, and I love using practical tools and strategies that helped me succeed — including time management, memory techniques, and effective revision methods. As someone closer in age to most students, I explain things in a relatable, down-to-earth way and create a relaxed space where students feel supported and motivated.
Although I’m just starting out with formal tutoring, I’ve helped classmates and younger students improve their grades, and I’m genuinely excited to support others on their English journey. I know how hard it can be — and I know how amazing it feels when it finally clicks.
