Lessons for GCSE/A-Level biology and introductory neuroscience students, focused on clear understanding, exam confidence

As a current MSc Neuroscience student at UCL, I’ve developed strong strategies for studying and understanding complex scientific ideas. I previously completed a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences, where I studied topics including cell biology, genomics, pharmacology, and biochemistry, giving me a broad foundation across biology. Having also completed A-levels in Biology, Geography, and Politics, I’m very familiar with how GCSE and A-level exams work and how students can approach them effectively.

I teach by breaking complex biological concepts into clear, manageable steps, using diagrams, examples, and questions to build understanding, strengthen exam technique, and help students gain confidence.
