Ex-Year 6 Teacher helping students achieve their best in their SATs

Hello! 👋 My name is Laura and I am an experienced UKS2 teacher who worked across the key stage for 9 years, having worked in Year 6 for three of those years.

I like to think of myself as friendly and approachable and pride myself on building respectful relationships with pupils that help them to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment, where they know that it’s all about just giving it their best!

I have taught / tutored all primary age groups at one stage or another, but specialise in the Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum. I am confident in helping pupils to plug their gaps across all core subjects and specialise in preparation for Year 6 SATs in May.

I work off of gaining an understanding of where a child is currently at with their knowledge so I am then able to step in and build their confidence in what they already know. We can then use a variety of learning strategies, tailored to the child’s learning style, to work together on filling their knowledge gaps.
