Teaching Contemporary Art and Design for adults

Whether you are a beginner or just wanting to learn a new way of expressing your creativity, my classes will teach you techniques and processes central to the contemporary art world. These will include, drawing and painting to music, collage, investigating paint application and surface, composition, pictorial space, and mark making.
These classes are perfect for adults wishing to enhance their artistic abilities through new methodologies. During these classes you will be expected to document your work and make notes as you go. Additionally you will be encouraged to keep a sketchbook outside of the lessons as well as producing a body of work which will be reflected upon during the sessions. During these lessons we will look at artists and the techniques they use before applying them to your own work. On other occasions we will discuss your own work, in this case you will be given critical feedback on areas to improve upon. Other times we may discuss your work and how it is being developed and where you would like to take it, both in terms of material and visual quality.
