My tutoring style centres around the unique gifts, interests, and back story of his students. This means creating a safe space for learning where the child can be their authentic self. I find in such an environment student becoming more interested in and take ownership of their academic progress. In terms of the subject content, I ensure that, no matter how easy or complex the topic is, it is broken down into bite size chunks. During that break down, students are made aware of the skills they do have already too master something new. I also makes sure that students see the relevance of their studies and how they fit into their wider holistic academic and life journeys. All this encourages motivation and determination to overcome their perceived roadblocks.
