I can’t recommend Alistair highly enough! He’s helped two of my children study for their GCSE Maths. Both struggled with confidence in the subject finding it difficult to grasp some of the more complex elements of the syllabus. With Alistair’s help, support and guidance both flourished. He quickly assessed their ability levels and learning styles then proceeded to teach in a way that was fun, engaging and personalised to them. Lessons were well structured and taken at the perfect pace, ensuring they understood the key principles and had the skills/knowledge to break down questions into manageable chunks demonstrating their workings out in a way that helped provide extra marks when it came to exam time. His friendly, chatty nature put them at ease and helped build their confidence, enabling them to ask questions they probably wouldn’t have in school for fear of embarrassment. Both children excelled in their exams gaining the pass grades needed to further their studies to A-Levels

Alistair has taught Maths / English to two of my three children, my eldest is now 26 and he really struggled in school, Alistair turned his focus around and Arthur left school with a B and C respectfully. My Daughter hasnt got a very good short term memory, the pace in school was running away from her, Alistair started teaching her before she started senior school, he has been so patient, he has dealt with tears and tantrums, but i have also witnessed my daughter develop confidence with her maths skills. My daughters have had maths tuition with Alistair on a weekly basis, for a few years now and they are about to sit their GCSEs. The sessions have been invaluable! Not only in building their knowledge and skill set, but their confidence. My daughters enjoy the sessions, Alistair brings an element of fun, he’s professional, reliable, efficient and always happy to help.
