Mathematically focused Academic Scholar, alumnus from Haberdashers Boys' School.

Achieved A, 2 marks off A* in OCR Further Maths at A level, comfortable 9 in GCSE Edexcel Maths, and an A in Edexcel Economics at A level. Currently set to do an Economics BSc at Kings College London, but have the option to change to Economics and Maths BSc at Warwick. Advanced to the interview stage in my Cambridge application for Land Economy at St John's. Consistent Kangaroo performances in all levels of Maths challenges, being close to Olympiad multiple times. Wrote a school paper on the stochastic process behind market predictions.

My tutoring will focus on not only improving your ability to answer questions from the relative subject, but also understanding the subject at its core, as from experience I believe that yields much more progress than "just learning the method". My tutor sessions will revolve around both understanding concepts and applying them through constant past-paper analysis. I am comfortable teaching all years up to GCSE Maths and Economics, but only the specified boards for A levels. I am also comfortable helping with interview prep for Economics courses, or entrance exams for lower years.

In my year 12 mock I got a C in Further Maths, and was predicted a B, only to supersede these expectations and get exceedingly close to an A* in the year with one of the highest grade boundaries in the new spec, specifically achieving comfortable A*s in both pure sections. Hence, I am well versed with hard work and improvement, beyond predicted grades, or what you are deemed to be capable of.
