I have many year’s experience working across primary, secondary and higher education:
• Teacher: Independent Schools: specialising in 7+, 11+, 13+ entrance examinations and
IGSCE.
UK Mainstream School Curriculum: SATS, GCSE and A level.
US Curriculum: Subjects from Kindergarten through to 12th grade.
Montessori School: Play, Prepared Environment, Independence and Hands on Learning.
• Specialist Teacher of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)-Communication and
Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health, Sensory and
Physical Needs e.g. Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), neurodivergence such as
Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Difficulties: Such
as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia and Communication Difficulties: Including speech
and language impairments.
• Responsible for the preparation, planning and delivery of my teaching, ensuring pupils
needs are met, academically and through outdoor learning so that they gain the required
-knowledge; taking account of any Special Educational Needs of neurodivergent learners.
• To maintain and use short-, medium- and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
• To set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each
-individual.
• To develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.
• To provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge.
• To take account of wider curriculum developments.
• To maintain an overall awareness of current issues in the field of autism in order to be able
to plan for effective teaching and learning.
