Advert description
My name's Lucy and I’m a Neuroscience graduate with a First-Class degree from the University of Aberdeen, where I graduated top of my class. I’ll be continuing my studies at Imperial College London this September for my Master's (MRes) in Experimental Neuroscience.
I specialise in tutoring GCSE and A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, drawing on both my academic background and hands-on experience in scientific research. Alongside my degree, I have worked extensively in laboratory and clinical research settings, which allows me to bring real-world context into my teaching and make complex topics more intuitive and engaging.
In addition, I have substantial experience in science communication, with a particular focus on translating complex scientific ideas into clear, accessible language for any audience. I believe this ability is a key strength in my tutoring, enabling me to break down difficult concepts in a way that builds genuine understanding and confidence in students.
Lessons are typically one hour long, although I am happy to accomodate longer sessions when preparing for exams or covering more challenging topics.
Whether you are looking for regular support or focused revision ahead of assessments and examination, my aim is to help every student become a more confident and independent learner whilst making science enjoyable and accessible.
