GCSE Maths, Chemistry and Biology Tutoring and 11+/SATS Tutoring for Year 5/6 Pupils

I have two years experience in tutoring Year 5/6 students for the 11+ and SATS exams. I have got GCSE qualification in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths achieving a grade 9 (equivalent to A*/A**) in all four of the subjects. I create fun and engaging lesson plans and ensure that exam technique is a main focus as this is understandably a common area of difficulty. Experience with a wide range of learning styles and ability. Always begin each session with an interactive starter activity and end with a fun (or as fun as it can be) game/activity. Start by ensuring a stable base knowledge of the topic as in classroom based teaching this can be where it becomes difficult to focus on individual needs. Then develop further doing exam questions with notes and/or my assistance before moving on to individual exam questions ensuring they feel confident before reaching that point. Students should not dread going to their tutoring sessions and I do my best to ensure that does not happen.
