Teaching award winning Economics PhD, specialised in making economics accessible for everyone

Advert description
I have a successful track record of teaching, I have received Teaching Excellence awards twice for teaching undergraduate economics and hold a Recognising Excellence in Teaching Certificate both from the University of Glasgow. I am confident I can help anyone achieve success, whether you're preparing for exams, tackling coursework, working on a dissertation, or simply looking to build confidence in economics or statistics

I have a PhD in Economics from the University of Glasgow and have taught economics at both the University of Leicester and the University of Glasgow as well as Statistics at the University of Glasgow.

I love economics and am confident I can get others to love it as well. My aim is to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and achieving their academic potential.

I strive to make economics accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. There is no need to take the subject too seriously all the time—humour, along with interesting real-world examples and stories, can make even the most challenging concepts easier to understand and far more memorable.

My lessons are tailored to how each student learns best. Personally, I learn most effectively through visual explanations, so I often use graphs, diagrams, and other visual aids to bring concepts to life. However, I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual, as everyone learns differently.

Economics is fundamentally about understanding how people behave and what motivates their decisions. I find it useful to relate individual decision-making to broader economic behaviour. Simply asking, "What would I do in this situation?" is often an excellent starting point for understanding the foundations of economic theory.

My aim is to simplify complex ideas into logical, intuitive concepts that students can reason through for themselves. This not only makes economics easier to understand but also helps students
