Hi, I'm Akshara, I achieved 7As in my National 5 exams in the following subjects - Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and Spanish. I know what it takes to succeed in the exams and I also enjoy working with younger pupils to build confidence in the basics, from primary school to early secondary.
I’ve helped classmates and younger pupils with homework and revision, and I make sure to explain things step-by-step in a way that’s clear and easy to understand along with providing tips to maximise marks for pupils doing their exams.
How I teach:
• I tailor each session to the student’s level, whether that’s building foundations in maths and literacy for younger pupils, or tackling exam questions and study skills for S3–S4.
• I use simple explanations, examples, and practice questions to make sure the student really understands.
• I’m patient and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
• I focus on boosting confidence as well as knowledge, so students feel ready for tests and exams.
