Maths tutor, specialising in SQA content for secondary-level mathematics

I am a secondary school student with a strong passion for mathematics and, more importantly, for teaching it properly. I do not approach maths as a collection of formulas to memorise, but as a logical system that can be understood from first principles. My strength lies in breaking concepts down to their foundations so students know why something works, not just how to use it.

While I am not focused on competitive mathematics or Olympiads, I am particularly strong in coursework-based mathematics, structured problem solving, and exam-style questions. This allows me to help students develop consistency, confidence, and disciplined thinking — the traits that actually improve grades over time.

My teaching style is patient, methodical, and structured. I ensure there are no gaps in understanding before moving forward, and I adapt explanations to suit the student rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. I aim to build genuine mathematical intuition so students can tackle unfamiliar problems independently.
